I'm not getting any response from Vox Proxy Support, so I thought
I might try here.

Is anyone using Vox Proxy (version2) with PowerPoint 2003? Does it
work for you? I am trying it out and I find that the Vox Proxy script
loses its connection to slide numbers when I change slides.

I also find that the VP "power scripting menu" doesn't work.

I also find that the script will run when I click the VP "Test"
button, but not when I run the slideshow using the PowerPoint
"Run" command -- contrary to what the VP documentation says.
Has anyone had success using VP2 and PP 2003?

I can't imagine why you're having the problems you describe in your first
two questions (though I use Vox Proxy with PowerPoint 2000, and so can't
speak from experience with PPt 2003).

However, in connection with your third question (about the VP script running
when you click VP's "Test" button but not when you start PPt from its own
"Run" command), let me suggest this possibility: In order for a VP script to
run from within PowerPoint (that is, in response to a "Run" PowerPoint
command), it is necessary to first click "Run Vox Proxy with Slide Shows"
from the VoxProxy menu (at the top of the PowerPoint window). It isn't
necessary to do that when you simply "Test" your VoxProxy script. I
frequently forget to click the "Run Vox Proxy . . . " menu item, and wonder
whether that may be your problem too.
