PowerPoint 2003 vs. 2007 issue?

I edit PowerPoint docs composed using PP2003, but I use PP2007. Certain
elements of the docs--like footers and working draft mentions that appear in
the right-hand margin--appear as frozen/uneditable in PP2007. I simply cannot
edit the footers in any way. Does anyone have any thoughts on this? I'm so
frustrated that I'm starting to look for ways to DOWNGRADE from 2007 to 2003!
Thank you so, so much for any insight you might have!

They've changed things up a bit with the masters in 2007. When you click
View > Master View, it takes you to the master for the layout of the
currently selected slide, but anything added to the slide master in 03 will
only be editable on the overall design master. When you get to Master View,
click on the larger slide at the top of the slide thumbnails to the left and
you should then be able to edit just like you do in the master for 03.
Hope this helps...

BoniM, you're a genius. Thank you so much.
