Colin,
Go to File - Send to - choose Microsoft Word - choose whatever page-setup
that suites you and hit OK.
Or consider using this excellent add-in:

Thank you Luc but it imports the whole slide as an image. What I need it to bring the whole image into word and be able to edit the text as you can a word document.

Colin,
If the text is in placeholders you can use the last item in the send to list
'only outline'. That will give you the text that is in placeholders not in
textboxes you made yourself. If you do the 'send to' two times, first with
the slides images (you get a table). Select that table and convert it to
text, using Table - Convert - table to text. Do the 'send to' a second time
using the 'only outline', cut and paste your text to the first document.

Other than that, I see no possibilities. But maybe someone else will be able
to help you.

If you send to Word and has selected Paste as the option, double click on the
slide image in Word. This should allows you to edit the text in the slide
image.

If you have selected Paste Link as the option, double click on the slide
image, make the changes in PowerPoint, save it and exit.
