Powerpoint 2003 encountered a problem

On two machines that have Visual Studio 2005 installed on them when I
try to run Powerpoint 2003 as soon as it comes up it says; Powerpoint
encountered a problem and needs to close. On machines without VS2005
no problem, also no problem with Word or Excel. VS2005 was installed
before Office 2003.

Visual Studio may be a red herring.

I'd start by removing all add-ins. This page will help you figure out what
ones you need to remove:

What add-ins are loaded?
http://www.pptfaq.com/FAQ00655.htm

If uninstalling the add-ins fixes the problem, you can reinstall them one at
a time until you figure out which is causing the problem.

If that doesn't work, try deleting your *.PCB file. That's the PPT Toolbar,
and it will regenerate itself the next time PPT starts. You'll lose any
customizations you've made to the toolbars, though.

Where is the PCB files? I searched for it and nothing came up.

Also the page you refered me to has no info about how to remove add-
ins.

If you/addins haven't customed the PPT interface in any way, there won't be a
PCB file.
Also the page you refered me to has no info about how to remove add-
ins.

I've added a bit about that at the bottom of the page, at least for standard PPA
add-ins.
