Yes, if they have Win 98SE, ME, 2000, XP, or later for their Windows
Operating system. They can get the newer viewer. Just be sure they know that
they should use the old viewer for PPT files created on their machine and
the new viewer for presentations you send them.

able to view the full 2002 presentation with special

They can use either the 97 viewer, or the 97 version of PowerPoint, whichever
they have installed on their system. What they won't be able to see are any of
the special effects that came with 2002. You can of course turn these off before
you create your presentation by clicking on Tools | View | Edit, and check mark
the items listed under Disable New Features.

I created a Powerpoint presentation using PP 2002 and now
want someone else to view it but htye only have PP 1997.
Can they use the PP 1997 viewer or will it revert back to
their PP 1997 application.
