powerpoint 2002 sound icon

Hi. Am going to record a PP for a freind onto VHS tape. I am stumped
as to how can I remove the sound recorder icon from the slide where
the mp3 starts. On a couple of the mI was able to drag it off the
slide to a spot where it is hidden from view. On the others I have
made sure I have selected the hide while not playing option. I have
tired it both ways. But it just will not disappear.

Any hints or ideas?

If you drag it off the slide, into the gray area, it will not show when you run
the slide show and record it on your VCR.

hi. Yes I was doing that also and on a couple of the slides it did
drag to the grey area and did not display. But on some otehres every
time I would drag it to grey area another one would remain. I finally
figured out that there mustve been many multiple icons on top of each
other. I kept on hitting delete key until they disappeared, except for
the original one of course. Then it wouldnt display beocz of the hide
while not playing.
