Hello,

I have noticed that when trying to select multiple slides using the ctrl key in the Outline Tab, you can't! Using the shift key in the Outline Tab works as it should to select a range of slides, so why won't the crtl key work to select more then one slide? This problem is not just happening to me, but I checked and it is happening to many many other (perhaps everyone?). Does anyone have any knowledge on this topic, know of any articles, reasons why ctrl does not work, or possible solutions?

Thanks,
~Dan

Try Shift + Alt.

Sonia,

Shift + Alt selects a range of slides, just as holding down the shift key would... Thanks for trying though...

It's not exactly a solution, but you might try using the "slides" tab
next to the outline tab in that same pane for rearranging your slides.
Then it's just one click back to the outline...

Hi Dan,

PowerPoint does not support discontiguous text selection and, in the
Outline, you are selecting text (which just happens to be arranged in
slides).

If you (or anyone else reading this message) think that PowerPoint should
support discontinguous text selection in the Outline (or anywhere, for that
matter), don't forget to send your feedback to Microsoft at:

http://register.microsoft.com/mswish/suggestion.asp

As with all product suggestions, it's important that you not just state
your wish but also why it is important to you that your product suggestion
be implemented by Microsoft. Microsoft receives thousands of product
suggestions every day and we read each one but, in any given product
development cycle, there are only sufficient resources to address the ones
that are most important to our customers so take the extra time to state
your case as clearly and completely as possible.

IMPORTANT: Each submission should be a single suggestion (not a list of
suggestions)
