We are using this application for our contemporary church
services and every now and then we need to go backward in
the show to the previous slide. But whenever we attempt
to do do it I recieve a fatal error (asks me if I want to
send a report back to Microsoft) and ends the entire
program. Needless to say this is totally disruptive
during the service. When we had PowerPoint 2000
installed, we never had this problem. HELP !!!

I'm assuming you're using PowerPoint 2002/XP...

Had similar problem & found that it seemed to be due to dodgy Notes.

Save the file under a new name (as a backup); select View/Notes Page and
go through the presentation checking if there's any weird-looking text
or slides.

In the end, I deleted all the notes & reapplied the notes master
(Format/Notes Layout/Reapply Master/OK) to all the slides & the problem
went away. The F4 key (repeat last action) really came into it's own
here...
