Hello,
A year ago I bought the Students and Teachers edition
of Office xp to replace Office 97 on my laptop running
Windows Me. I kept Access 97 during installation. Word
and Excel have run properly (though Word has been a bit
unstable), but PowerPoint 2002 crashes when I try to start
the program. It has never worked and always gives the
error message 'invalid instruction in module KRNL386.exe
at 0002:00002bde' which sounds to me more of an OS error
than an Office one. I have uninstalled and reinstalled
the program, downloaded all updates from the Microsoft
website, run a full virus scan, and installed an Adobe
Acrobat update to repair a known Office instability. Can
anyone suggest other things I can try?
Thanks,
Lori
