Are Powerpoint 2003 and Powerpoint XP the same program?

Can they be installed on the same system as PP 2000? (in different folders)
I know some programs you can easily do that with, but I'm not sure about the
higher end Office Programs.

Thanks in advance.

We're running XP Professional btw.

The technical answer is they are different.
The practical answer is, they are almost identical. Same number of animation
and slide transition features, same user interface, etc. PPT 2003 does offer
some additional 'behind-the-scenes' programming for stability and multimedia
playback. Probably the most visible feature is the new package-to-cd.

Yes you can install multiple versions of PPT. You need to install the older
version first and then do a custom install for the newer version. When
prompted be sure to keep older versions (at least of PPT).
