PowerPoint 2000 Language

I'm trying to highlight several lines of text and change
the laungage style to Italian. I've been informed by a
number of people that PowerPoint 2000 doesn't support this
language in this version. Is there a way to do it?

should have info on the languageID for Italian.

I'm not positive, but I'd be surprised if PPT 2000 doesn't support
Italian. Again, though, I'm just not sure.
