PowerPoint 2000 and MusicSpan

I need continuous music to play throughout a presentation
and also have verbal/audio commentary for each slide. I
found the shareware MusicSpan allowed me to do this. I
installed a DVD burner & software and now the
presentation does the background music or the commentary,
but not both. I uninstalled the DVD and the software,
but the presentation will not run as it did before. I'm
also getting the message that PowerPoint doesn't allow
the entry of a MP3 file. Obviously there is a conflict
somewhere... I need some help finding and fixing it.
