You have "Powerdvd 5.0" in your subject line but nothing about
installing it in the body of your message. So basically I don't know
what you have or haven't done.

XP does not play DVD movies natively. You need a third-party DVD player
like PowerDVD or WinDVD. If you have a copy, then install it. If you
don't have a copy, buy one. If you installed one that came with your
computer and it doesn't work then provide more details about what does
or doesn't happen, including the text of any error messages.

Thanks for your answer.
I have a DVD-RAM unit from LG model GSA-4082B. I have installed the
original drivers that came with it and everything is running under Win
XP SP2.
When I put in a DVD I created previously (with another graphic card)
both PowerDVD 5.0 and Windows media player 11.0 seem to crash wihtout
any error message. Actually they don't really crash, but they slow
down the whole system almost to a hal and I have to shut them down.
If you need any other data please let me know.
Thanks

You created the DVD? With what program and what format is it in? It
doesn't matter that there was another video card. What matters is the
format and how you created it.

You should probably post on this forum for questions regarding making
and playing DVD's since this isn't a Windows question per se:

http://club.cdfreaks.com/

You should read the FAQ and search for your topic first. I don't have an
immediate answer for you since I'm not a DVD-creation expert but the
folks who post on the CDFreaks forums are.
