yup, i've got one, was hesitant when i picked it up though, had it for 3
months now slightly overclocked, stable, quiet, plays all games (including
call of duty) at 1280X1024 smoothly, everything wacked up. i'd recommend it
to anyone.

Can anyone give me any 1st hand recommendations regarding this card, I've
read a few reviews and that card seems pretty good, but how does it fair in
the REAL world, has anyone used it to play Call of Duty?

Yes I'm using one myself. I purchased mine from Overclockers UK in Stoke on
Trent, UK. The first card they supplied however was faulty (my system would
not boot when card plugged in, same on 2 other systems tried)

After much hassle getting the card replaced I'm pleased to state I've had no
problems whatsoever over last 3 months, it runs all my games fine including COD,
Max Payne 2 without any hassle at all.

So... do I recommend it... absolutely... excellent card!

I've had Nvidia cards for years (last one was a Leadtek 4600 ultra) but thought
I would I would try the 9800 Pro this time round... and no regrets. The ATI
cards compared to the current Nvidia cards IMO are better designed, and easier
to keep cool. I like my system to be quiet, the fan on the Powercolor is
pretty quiet, but I've removed the stock fan and made a dummy PCI card which
carries a slowed down 80mm fan, blowing directly on the 9800 Pro from the
adjacent pci slot and this is virtually silent. :-))

Hope you get a good one first time, Just don't buy it from Overclockers UK,
IME their after sales service is not good.

Regards

John

I bought it online from www.KKdirect.com so hopefully they'll have received
a better batch that the one you got!, lol

I used to have a Ti4200 128Mb 8xAGP and I was very happy with that card, the
only thing that upset me was while playing Americas Army Operations my frame
rate could sometimes drop down to about 9fps when running through thick
smoke!!!

I'm currently using an old 3DFX Voodoo3 2000 PCI, I can't play any decent
modern games, lol.

HURRY UP MR. POSTMAN!
