any one got a powerball? mine was delivered this morning...

top score is 11114 so far :)

world record is 14480

Oh... I saw one of these the other day for about £20 and it really confused me...

What does it actually do? It keeps showing photos of weightlifters and listing sports?! I'm assuming it is just a gyroscope, but in a ball?

yeah - its really good gives much more of a work out than lifting weights!

has a rev counter on too..

cures RSI, carpel tunnel syndrome and helps arthritis

I've heard rumors, but hadn't actually heard a first-person review yet.
Is it worth the money? Is it as fun/addicting as advertised? Is it really a "workout device" ?

quite interested...

I personally thought it was way overpriced at £26 inc Shipping (Neon LED version with Rev counter and official string)

BUT

To a certain extent you are paying for this aswell:

I can see how these can be broken easily, gyroscopes are very fragile.

It is a VERY GOOD workout, my arm is still ready to drop off, after an hours continuous usage (5 mins per day reccomended) cant be good for me!

You can really feel your arms working, just like lifting weights!

Very competitive too, a mate as one, who can get the fastest revs? is a good game...

Its good. Very good.

not sure about price tag though, but the unit is very well made.

Chris

I think I'll stick to my weights thanks Chris... although I can't deny that I'm intrigued! ;)

I kinda hate to top an old thread, but I just got one of these recently and haven't been able to put the thing down!

I have competitions with my friends all the time to see who can get it the fastest, left hand and right hand.

My current best is 11715, wondering what christopherpostill got up to as a high? Anyways I'd really recommend these things. it is an immense help for racquet sports such as tennis and table tennis, and other wrist-intensive sports like golf. and a helluvalotta fun

I sent mine back and got a refund - i wore the bearing or something out!

I think i got 10 or 11 thousand and something...

So Chris

Would you recommend that we all go out and get one??

Do they usually fail so soon after purchase?

Kind regards

Gabriella x

These seem a little too odd for me... but i wouldent mind given one a try, although i enjoy weight lifting.
(wished i looked like the guy in my avatar :D )

I will be getting one soon. Ordering on monday, getting it tuseday, along with a NV5 Silencer.

Although, i wish somone would eleborate more on the " sublime yet pleasant resistence " experience it gives. i guess i will find out soon enough ^_^

hmm kind of hard to describe.

at high rpms (10k+) it is extremely powerful, really pulls at your arm and forces you to exert a lot of energy to keep it spinning in control at that speed. never feels like it might be painful, it feels good actually, but u need to keep a good grip on it

I had the problem of not being able to grip it at high speeds as hands got sweaty...!

They are VERY good though

I have a gyroscope, and i know how it feels to control it while its spinning, is it kinda like that?
