can anyone help please when trying to copy a disc on dvd it goes thru to the
burning process then comes up with power calibration area error

Since Windows XP has no native ability to burn DVD media, you'll have to tell us
more about your system, regarding this task.
 
i have a 3g cpu 512 ram 80 g hdd dvd dvdrw i use roxio7 have never had
trouble before
also playing a music cd no problem playing dvd picture but no sound
 
Sounds like your having a problem with either Roxio or your DVD burner, not
Windows XP.

I can't make any sense out of your additional statement, "also playing a music
cd no problem playing dvd picture but no sound". Please clarify.
