I'm (re)building a PC and am struggling with power supply options.

Since the PC has a side window, I'd like things inside to look neat.
So I'm favoring a power supply with modular cables so that I can omit
unnecessary wiring.

I have a Smartpower 2.0 500W (still in shrink wrap) that I think does
have modular cables. But I've also got a Antec Truepower Trio 550 in
shrinkwrap. I don't believe the latter offers cable management.

Is the Antec Smartpower a good choice or can I do better?

Thanks,

They are both good PSUs and yes the Smartpower has a Modular cable system
where you hook up only the cables you need............but there are more
than one connector on a cable and depending upon your requirements you might
find yourself with still quite a few cables that you wish to hide or tidy
up.
The TRuepower Trio is a better product but requires more cable management
skills from you.
So it really depends on how much effort you are willing to spend on this
project.
There are various devices on the market that let you tidy the cable mess.
this website is no longer in business but it gives you an idea of what is
available
