Power save doesn't work with limited account

Hello,

I recently changed some registry keys to enable (un-freeze) the drop-
downs in the power save settings for Limited accounts. I can change
the drop-downs now, but hibernation or standby never takes place for
Limited accounts. Has anybody seen this behavior?

Thank you.

What behavior? Editing the registry without having a ****ing clue
what your edit might have?

SURE.

I've seen it for years.

Thanks, profane jerk. You act as if I've edited YOUR registry on YOUR
machine. Why post if you're trying to insult rather than help? What
does "... clue what your edit might have" mean? Don't you mean "...
clue what EFFECT your edit might have?"

Forgive my sloppiness at omitting exactly what I did. Not that you'll
be helpful, but I gave my users group full control on:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Controls
Folder\PowerCfg\GlobalPowerPolicy
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Controls
Folder\PowerCfg\PowerPolicies

I can easily reverse what I did. Hopefully it won't have brought down
the Internet by tomorrow. I'm not the only one to have had this
problem, and forgive me for not being an author of the Windows XP OS.
Next time don't assume somebody has no clue.

This seems to be a good approach, similar to what I tried earlier:

However, Hibernation/Standby works for an Administrator but still does
nothing for Limited accounts.
