It keeps asking for the product key but says it is not correct

Your product key should be printed on the box in which Office was delivered.
Take care not to mix up 0 (zero) and O (letter "Oh").

Thank you but there are no "0" or O"O"s in the product key. I can't believe
they want $35.00 just to ask for hlep with a product key for a reload on my
computer.... what is up with that?

Thank you for your help.

What version of Office do you have? What does the error message
say exactly and completely?

If you have Office 2003, and if your computer has a free trial of
Office 2003 installed on it, then you need to uninstall the free
trial software before you install your purchased software. See
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=836178 "You receive an
'invalid product key' error message when you start an Office 2003
program after you install Office Professional Edition 2003" for
more information.
