Power Point Slide show seems to auto scroll back to home slide when projector
is attached to the notebook. Works fine when no projector attached, but when
attached, it's as if you are continuously holding down the "home" key on your
keyboard. You can advance any number of screens momentarily, but as soon as
you page down or mouse click, it goes right back to the home slide. When not
in slide show mode, Powerpoint window stutters. Again, only when attached to
projector, not when not attached.

If you have any info on this problem, please advise

Does the projector itself have navigation keys or a remote navigation device of
any kind?

Where does it hook up to the PC? Just the 15-pin video cable or does it plug in
elsewhere?

Both projector (Infocus) and computer have nav, I've played with the settings
of both, including the remote for the projector. I was thinking that maybe
the projector was somehow sending a scroll back message to the computer, but
have been unable to find any such setting on the projector, via the remote.

The projector has both the standard monitor connection, which I use, plus it
has a USB link for communication to the computer from the projector via the
remote, such as mouse functions. I have played with it a quite a bit to see
if there was any change. The symptoms are the same, regardless of whether
the USB is connected or not. However, perhaps the problem could lie in the
mouse function of the projector remote. One possibility I have not tried is
to eliminate the mouse click advance feature of the slide show to see if it
has an effect. I will let you know if that solves the problem.

One thing, that's always worth trying is to insert a fresh battery into the
projector remote.

Best regards,

heh, great minds. I was *just* going to suggest that as well.
