Power Point presentation with videos on a CD

I created a Power Point presentation with some pictures and videos.
The videos run without any problem in the original presentation on my
PC, but as I want to deliver this presentation at the end of a
congress, I need to save it on a CD, but after saving it, is
impossible to view the videos on the presentation. I guess this must
be related with some trouble with the link of the video. Help me
please !!!.

I use Power Point 2007 and the videos are in AVI format.

Video files are not embedded within the PPT file. You need to copy the
video files to the same folder that the PPT file is saved to before they are
imported into the presentation. After the file is created then you can
publish to CD. You need to eventually have the PPT file and the video files
on the CD drive.

Thanks for your kind response. As i have finished my presentaion, I
would like to know if there is any other way to do it in order to save
time. Thanks for your help

You can try to burn the CD/DVD data file, making sure that all the video
files are on the CD/DVD. See if it runs on another computer. Probably
won't but... The other issue you may have is if the computer that you are
showing the PPT presentation on doesn't have the proper codec for the AVI
files you have. If they don't they won't play. That is the reason that I
always convert the AVI and MPG files I have to WMV files before importing
into PPT. Since the WMV file format is Microsoft created, I have never had a
problem moving from computer to computer where others that have tried to use
MPG or AVI files have had issues. Heck, I have even had issues using
certain MPG files in Windows Media Player on a Vista machine that was
created on an XP machine even though the same creation program was installed
on both machines.

You may have the project done but you need to back up and ensure that
whatever computer you take the presentation to it will run even if it takes
more time.

There are also programs that will "ensure" that the presentation is packaged
properly to play on different systems.

Here are three ways for you to burn your PowerPoint to CD/DVD
There is a free way for you to do this:
Export your powerpoint slides to JPEG images, then use windows movie
maker to make a video, and then burn the video to DVD.
But in this way all the animations and transitions in your
presentation will be lost.

So far the best way i know is to convert your PowerPoint presentation
to MPEG-2 video format first, then burn the video to DVD.

your presentation to DVD. Convert the PowerPoint to Video format and
then burn it to DVD
So you can view your presentation on Computer without PowerPoint
installed. You can even view your PowerPoint on TV with a DVD player.
