I have upgraded PowerPoint from Office 97 to Office 2003 that support
various languages. I checked the system requirement as per MS requirement
32-bit version that is equal to computer type: X86-based PC. I also enabled
the Arabic language. Finally, I am almost there except one problem. I tried
to enable the right-to-left features in office without success. I am getting
the Arabic letter from left-to-right such as the English or the French
languages which makes the formation of the word in appropriate such as:
Microsoft will be tofsorciM.
I hope that some one will help me in this regards.

Thanks!

The left-to-right vs. right-to-left function is controlled by the original
presentation design computer's native language in its Windows Operating
System.

In other words, if your computer is set to a language that reads
left-to-right, and you create a presentation, then it will maintain this
order.

The only work around I know, to change this is to create a new presentation,
and insert all the slides from the former one .

[CRITICAL UPDATE - If you are using Office 2003, you should install this
update as soon as possible. From PowerPoint, choose "Help -> Check for
Updates".]

Hello Mohamed,

| the Arabic language. Finally, I am almost there except one problem. I
tried
| to enable the right-to-left features in office without success. I am
getting
| the Arabic letter from left-to-right such as the English or the French

For Office XP and Office 2003, this ability (adding right-to-left text
support) is provided via the Multilingual User Interface (MUI) Pack. The
MUI Pack is not available as a retail product. Instead, it is included in 3
English-language versions of Office 2003 Editions which are only available
through Microsoft Open License, Select License, or Enterprise Agreement
Volume Licensing programs. However, iff you have a localized version of
Office (for a right-to-left language) you will already have this capability
in Office.

Here is a page that describes for which Office licenses MUI is available:

http://www.microsoft.com/office/editions/prodinfo/language/availability.mspx

If you (or anyone else reading this message) think that PowerPoint should
some additional multilingual features without having to install a
Multilingual User Interface (MUI) Pack edition of Office, don't forget to
send your feedback (in YOUR OWN WORDS, please) to Microsoft at:

http://register.microsoft.com/mswish/suggestion.asp

As with all product suggestions, it's important that you not just state
your wish but also WHY it is important to you that your product suggestion
be implemented by Microsoft. Microsoft receives thousands of product
suggestions every day and we read each one but, in any given product
development cycle, there are only sufficient resources to address the ones
that are most important to our customers so take the extra time to state
your case as clearly and completely as possible.

IMPORTANT: Each submission should be a single suggestion (not a list of
suggestions)
