I had a hard drive crash and after reloading programs for which I had disks,
I find that I no longer have PPT. I don't have all my disks with me (in
Florida for 6 months) and wonder what I might not have installed that would
enable me to read PPT files. I have loaded Office XP standard and Office 2000
and wonder what I am missing that should be loaded. Does Office Works contain
PPT?

Works does not include PPT. Office 2000 might -- but if it's Small Business
Edition, it doesn't. I can't remember if Office XP Standard does or not, and
I can't find an Office XP suites contents list, bummer.

You can search your drive for powerpnt.exe If you find it, double-click it
to open PPT. Otherwise, grab the free PPT Viewer so you can view PPT and PPS
files.

for the 2003 Viewer -- but you might as well grab the 2007 Viewer, since it
will open both PPT and the new 2007 PPTX format files.

I think 2002 Small Business Edition (SBE) did not include PPT while Standard did.

To ensure our continued confusion, 2003 SBE DOES include PPT so they introduced Basic, which does not.
