Power point for classroom

I feel like I have been a part of this group for some time although I have
never posted. I am in the midst of doing a ppt for my students. I teach
technology to mentally retarded students and they get a kick out of the
graphics and other things I put into presentations. In fact they have even
done one themselves, but only with the most rudimentary concepts. I would like
my ppt to be more dynamic. I have embedded some technology video clips on
slides and have some slides as multiple choice questions. What I want to do is
be able to click on a "bullet" or action button and have a pop-up appear that
states they have or have not answered correctly. I have hyperlinked to other
slides but that is getting to be a logistics nightmare. I tried the animated
textbox but I cannot define the amount of time the textbox stays on the screen
so it is like a brief, very brief flash. Please, any suggestions are welcomed.

Thanks

Glad to hear you have found help here. We try to answer everything we can.

To answer your problem, we need to know which version of PowerPoint you are
using. If it is XP (2002) or 2003, you can do what you want using triggers.
With the earlier versions, you need to use VBA and/or linking to get this
done.

I strongly recommend that you checkout the games on Bill Foley's site
(http://www.pttinc.com/ppgame.htm#PPGame) or on Echo's site
(http://www.echosvoice.com/jeopardy.htm)
(I know there is one more example, but I've lost it right now....)

Actually, the present ppt was initially done in 2000 and I am tryin to edit
with 2002. (Did it at school, put it on pin drive, then brought it home to the
good computer!) I pride myself on knowing how tech. and computers work but VBA
is very difficult as I am not familiar with it at all. I have done some html
but that is the extent of code experience I have. I did, however, play around
with the trigger setting but to no avail. I will check out the games though.

Thanks
