Hey, could someone please let me know how to send a
presentation as an attachment so that when it is opened,
it goes directly into the slide show, vs. the program
itself.

Save it as a PowerPoint Show (.pps) file. You can choose Save As and
pick PowerPoint Show (.pps) as the file type.

Thanks David,
However, I only get the following options:
Presentation
Web Page
Web Archive
Powerpoint 95
Powerpoint 97-2002 & 95 Presentation
Presentation for review

How can I get the option for .pps file?

Like David said, only the recipient must have either the PowerPoint viewer of
the full program on their system to view it.

[CRITICAL UPDATE - Anyone using Office 2003 should install the critical
update as soon as possible. From PowerPoint, choose "Help -> Check for
Updates".]

Hello,

There are other options but you will have to scroll past the bottom of the
visible portion of the list to see the other types of files you can save
as. One of them will be PowerPoint Show (*.pps).

Thanks again,
But I am unable to see the .pps option under the Save As
option. Is there another step? See my reply to David
below.

It'll say "PowerPoint Show"

Or just save it as a normal PowerPoint (*.PPT) file then rename it to
whatever.PPS using Windows Explorer
