power point alignment issue

When multiple text boxes are in one slide and we try to edit any of them the
snap to centered no matter where they were placed in the slide. Can anyone
tell me why and how to change that?

Which version?

It might be that in Format Texbox (or format autoshape or format object or
whatever that is on the right-click menu) on the Textbox tab, you've opted
for a "Middle Center" alignment.

It is office 2007. We checked on the master and it did not have center
alignment but will check the individual text boxes in the slides.

My co-workers suggests the following rewording of the issue:

When multiple objects are on a slide and we begin to modify one the “Viewâ€

ooooooooh, that's a different issue altogether. In fact, it's a bug. With no
known fix. We're all hoping it gets taken care of with a service pack or
patch or something, but right now, there's nothing.
