Will some one tell me how to get an album I have spent months on to a CD so I
can copy it for my childen and give it alway as a gift. It has 380 slides
pages and I do not want to mis-place this on this PC. I have 4 more albums
to go . It is a family thing. It is setting in the 'files to be copied to
CD' but I can not more it to a CD.

Hi

Try office button -> publish -> package for CD. This will include the viewer
so people without powerpoint will still be able to view the album - if you
don't want to include the viewer select options -> archive package.

Well, it will be better to convert your photo album to Flash to reduce
the big file size. You could view such Flash Photo album made by
PowerPoint online: http://snipurl.com/thumbnail-view

I'm not sure I understand the problem. You created a presentation using the
Photo Album feature (it doesn't make any difference how you created it for
purposed of making a CD). Now you want to burn the presentation onto a CD.

In 2007, click the Office button> Publish>Package to CD. (I wasn't clear if
you got to this point or not.)

Since it seems that you want to make more than one CD (you said "children"),
I'd first click the Copy to Folder option and copy the files that it makes to
a folder. Then, you need to open the software that came with your CD-RW drive
for burinng CDs and follow the instructions to burn those files to a CD.

Instead, you can click Copy to CD. Then you'l be able to burn the files
directly to a CD, again using the software that came with your CD-RW drive,
or other similar software. Vista can burn CDs directly.

Hope this helps,
Ellen

I did get that far but the CD will not start. I have made back up CD for the
mess of pic I have so it worked once but now I can not get the CD to run any
more. It will work running a program as I had to re-feed in 'family tree,
and it did that fine. It is me making a CD that is the probelm. I have two
types of CD's and both have worked and been used in this PC before. They are
named brands. HP and Stapes. Izzie

It is getting it to copy to a CD that is giving me the problem. It sits in
the 'ready for CD file now but it just will not copy.

When you say the CD will not start, do you mean that PowerPoint doesn't start
the recording process? Or that you make the CD, but when you put it in the
computer, nothing happens?

Well I finally found out the probem or I should say my son came over to see
what I was fussing about. I had sent people out to buy the Cd's and I orders
some as the ones I bought first were almost gone. The ones I had used to back
up all my files that worked just fine. I never got the same CD's and once he
went back to the CD-RW every thing worked just right. I did not know their
was a difference. I just did not have the type you could copy on to. Now on
to the next set of old pictures. Izzie

Lucy, I had the wrong type disc. My son came over and looked over my work
and got me on the right path so I can now move on. Izzie
