Not that responding to this is any guarantee of a satisfactory
resolution to your problem, but...
This is something many do on a regular basis, so you might want to
explore what specifically happens on your machine. Some of the
questions that come to mind:
Is it one presentation that causes the problem? One specific slide?
Does the same presentation / slide work on another computer?
Are you using any kind of add-in? Special animation?
