When I try to check spelling, I receive the above
mentioned error.

What is wrong? My spelling works just fine with Word 2000.

Thanks,

Eddie

Hi, Eddie. PPT handles dictionaries and spelling differently than Word
does.

http://support.microsoft.com/?scid=kb;EN-US;Q238546 might help. Maybe
not, though, as this isn't the exact error message you're seeing.
(Actually, the only thing I can find that has that exact error, though,
is for PPT 98 on the Mac. Sheesh.)

http://support.microsoft.com/?scid=kb;EN-US;Q241173 might also be
relevant.

You might need to set the language ID of the text:
http://support.microsoft.com/support/kb/articles/q245/8/19.asp

And if you need to change the language ID, here's some sample code to
speed the process along:
http://support.microsoft.com/support/kb/articles/q245/4/68.
