David,
Running the command "powercfg /RestoreDefaultPolicies" should restore the
missing Power Policies for the logged on user account.
In XP Home? It's not possible.

Hi Ramesh,
Thanks for replying. My computer was infected with some spywares (pop up
malwares) last night so I used my Spy Sweeper program to get rid of the
files but wasn't working well. I then used another program called
'ccleaner" to delete all the unwanted registries and temp. files, may be
thats the problem. it delelted too much. I will try it tonight when I
get
home.
Also, when I logged in as administrator in safe mode, I can see my power
schemes settings. Why is that? Do you know how to log in as
admininstrator
in normal mode?
Thanks,
David

Hi,
I have a problem here. When I go to control panel > power options, I
couldn't set any power schemes is blank, there is nothing inside the
box!
And I can't highlight the time setting below. I also tried it in
display>screen saver>power, same thing, the power schemes is blank. Any
suggestions? Thanks.
David
