Power Management & Screen Saver no longer working

Good day all, I have a Dell Inspiron 1501 laptop with XP Home preloaded. The
computer is just over 1 year old and in the last few weeks, I notice that the
screensaver or power management features do not kick in at the set time.

My screen simply stays active the whole time. Any ideas?

The only major application I installed in the last month was the McAfee
Security suite.
 
Have you checked Start/Control Panel/Power Options and /Display? That's
where those settings can be changed.
 
Hi, I know where the settings are. They are all set to go into standyby mode
after 15 minutes.
The screensaver should kick in after 5.

But nothings kicks in after the 5 minutes or the 15 minutes

Dis-able McAfee and see if it works ( properly ) then .
