I'm trying to find some info on the Power Man Model FSP145-61GW ATX power
supply. Designed for a M5SAA mobo. Dimensions are 6"W x 4 1/2"D x 3 1/2"H.
Fits in a Protek Model S-7 case.

There's no power at all when switched on. Even tried shorting black & green
wires per http://www.pcpowercooling.com/support/index_ATX.htm. No joy. :-(

Any help or suggestions out there? BTW, already tried Google.

Thanks,

Did you have a good load on it such as a hard drive ?
Remove all cables but one going to a hard drive. Then plug it in and short
the wires.

Some power supplies won't run without a load applied to the 5V (red
and black wires), and some also require a load on the 3.3V (orange and
black wires). A low ohm resistor, around 10 ohms (Radio Shack),
should provide sufficient load, but be sure that it's rated for enough
power or it'll get too hot. A 10 ohm resistor should be rated for a
minimum of 10 watts, but in any case the power rating should be at
least 2-3 times the voltage squared divided by the resistance (watts =
3volts^2/ohms).

www.directron.com has some MATX size power supplies, but the highest
power rating is only about 180W.

Thanks for the replies. <g> PS is completely dead so I ordered one from
www.directron.com. Thanks again.
