Power LED wont go off query

Just built a new computer and when i switch it off the power LED does
not go off until i pull the power lead out of the psu
the mobo is Epox EP-8k3ap
thanks in advance for any ideas

First check that you have the power LED plugged onto the right pins on
the mobo. Also in some ATX PSUs, the power doesn't really go off when
you push the power switch, it's on standby. To power off you have to
switch it off at the back, or if there is no switch, pull the plug.

It does sound like you have the connector on the wrong pins or is this
a 3 pin size connector going onto two pins?
3 pin connector 2 wires green and white to 4pins
green to pin 1 as per mobo manual = lite always on
white to pin one = light always off
any other position = light always off

sorry shep that don't work either...the only thing that turns thepower
LED off is the power switch on the PSU

On my ECS board I had to cut the 3 pin connector in half as the middle
hole wasn't used and then put the two halves on the correct pins?
