Power icon Missing

How can I get the power icon back into my taskbar. I use Windows XP and
have aleady checked the box in the power icon in the control panel? Thanks

If you aren't using any battery or a UPS (battery backup) there's no sense in
having it since that's all it has to do with. If you do have either, please provide
detailed information to help others help you.
