I am sorry if this is a stupid question BUT I have a number of USB
attached devices and wondered if there is a power source that will
connect to all of them instead of having all those annoying little
units that hog the power strips, or just live with it?

If they all used the same voltage level, then a person handy with
electronics could build a cabling solution for you. For the rest of
us, "live with it" is the answer. Note that, at least for some of
the bricks, the rating printed on them is not an honest representation
of their needs. I had a label maker, and attempted to use a third party
supply for one, and the label maker display would light, but it would
not print. When I bought the proper adapter, and measured the voltage,
then I could understand what was wrong. So there is some chance,
that if you try to substitute a supply, it might not actually
be the right thing. At least in my case, no damage was done,
except to my wallet.

Thank you for such quick response to my question.

I like the idea of the powered hub for better organizing the devices
and I think I will invest in one, but my hope was for a common power
supply to replace all those darned little black cubes. Ah, well. Live
with it I will.
