Power DVD made my PC hanged

Happy new year everyone!!

Need your help.

I'm using Win2000. Had intalled Power DVD XP. When I
double on the icon on desktop or select it from START
menu, the whole system just hanged. Could someone help?

Make sure you have all the updates for the program from the vendor. Also,
update the sound and video card drivers in your machine.
