Power DVD alternative

Am using Power DVD v4 and because you need to pay for any upgrades, I
was wondering if anyone can suggest a freeware alternative that updates
regularly and has some nice features and is compatible for XP system.

If you have and use PowerDVD, why worry about upgrading?
