I'm looking at 9700 pro boards and am finding several options for
'barebones/oem' board only deals, notably missing the power cable for the
card.

So far I'm not having much luck looking for just the cable alone, though I
imagine it shouldn't be that hard to find.

Does anyone happen to know of a part number and/or source for this cable?

I'm not sure how the power stuff works on these cards (ie whether or not
they are able to get power from the AGP with some motherboards) but I want
to run it in an older motherboard (Abit BH6) so I believe I will need the
power cable.....

Mine runs from a floppy drive power lead, the adapter is to convert a
normal HD power lead to the floppy connector.

What brand is that? My ATI 9800pro just uses a standard molex
connector, which the OP can buy at any computer store, or he probably
has a spare one hanging off his PSU already.

The power cable is a standard 4 pin molex ("drive" power cable)

Just use any off of your power supply. You don't need to buy a "specific"
cable. It is a power Y cable, just included as a convenience.

http://tinyurl.com/2rr7h It's amazing. On the ATI website you can
"Buy"--"Accessories" in the "US,Canada, or other". The ol' #20.
Muhaaaa!!
