Subject: Old DVD with PLV, what will convert this?
Date: Wednesday, January 10, 2007 7:05 AM

I have an old DVD that I created years ago with some free software that is a
PLV. Anyone aware of a converter that will take this to AVI?

Hmm, The File Extension source doesn't even tell me what a *.plv file might
be. However a search from Google reveals:

PLV
Presentation-Level Video created by RCS (now owned by Intel and IBM), was
the first digital-video (compression/decompression) codec. It can run at
CD-ROM rates, but compression and image quality are relatively poor for RTV
(Real-Time Video). (This codec requires the Intel i750 chip.)

So it looks like the Intel and IBM websites might be your next stop.
However if your current PC does not have an i750 chipset, it looks like
you're out of luck.
