AFter installing a program whenever I now go to
explore (or start up almost any program), the cdrom, D:,
get hit and hit over and over again. Sometimes a
dialog pops up asking me to insert a cd there.
'D:' is not in the path. Program installed was
PixViewer, which I removed.

Any ideas?
Thanks

After you removed PixViewer it probably left some remnants in the
Registry causing this action to activate the "D" drive. You can edit the
Registry to get them out, but first run Adaware to get any scumware/spyware
out of your system.
To edit the Registry, click Start>Run>type REGEDIT and click OK
under edit click Find and type PixViewer and click Find Next and go thru the
entire Registry for all remnants. Rightclick and Delete all entries found.
