Hi,
In outlook we have under public folders an area called
Potential Contacts. In this folder we need to edit some
contact information but when we edit and then try to save
we get a message saying: "Your changes could not be saved
because you don't have permission to modify some or all of
the items in this folder. Do you want to save a copy of
this item in the default folder for them?" I noticed to
that all the contacts are read-only. Any contacts that we
add now are able to be edited, but any that were in there
previously we cannot change. How do I fix this problem? It
would be nice to resolve this soon.

Thanks!
Matthew Hall

Right-click the folder, choose Properties, and adjust the permissions on the folder to allow people to make changes.

That would normally work. But for some reason in this
folder all of that is greyed out. Actually, it doesn't even
have a permissions tab. It shows the summery what
permissions have been set on it and they are not what I
want, but since there is no permissions tab I don't know
how to change the permissions.

We got it to work. Had to change permissions in the folder
at the server level instead of just inside Outlook like we
always do.

Thanks,
