How many days do posts remain, before being deleted?? Yesterday I
checked, and there were over 350, three pages. Sometimes I just can't
get back to the pc, to check my posts in time and they are already
deleted, before I can see if an answer was posted. Just wondering. I'd
like to know for future postings. Thank You

Hi

I expect the postings via the web get buried quickly. It's a lot easier to
find your messages - and replies to those messages - if you use a dedicated
News Reader, such as Outlook Express:

Thank you for that info. I never used a News Reader, but I will give it
a try. I never used Outlook Express. Matter of fact, I think I might
have removed it from my pc., but I will check it out.

If you are running XP then you CAN'T remove it.

You can use Google Groups Advanced Search, with relevant criteria,
to easily find specific threads. For example, if I enter your email
address in the "Return only messages where the author is" box and
click "Google Search" it returns links to 13 newsgroup posts.

Keep in mind that, according to the Google Help Page: "There may be a
delay of up to 12 hours between articles being posted to a news server
and those articles being searchable within Google's newsgroup search."
Also, although Google does archive microsoft.public.windowsxp.basics
it does not archive all newsgroups.

Thank you for that info, it will probably. work better for me then the
News Reader, but I appreciate all the help I get from this group.
