I have been trying regularly (I have tried and failed at least 30 times!!!!!)
for at least a year to post questions in this and other microsoft
communities, but whenever I actually (finally) get the page come up that
enables me to write a post, the only result of clicking 'post' is that my
post just disappears! If I don't get the page come up it is because the 'sign
in' process fails to recognise my CORRECT password. This has happened so many
times I have lost count!! After each time I have had my CORRECT password
rejected I have tried to change it by either clicking on the link that is
supposed to send me a 're-set passord' e-mail (which I never get) or I click
on the link that allows me to answer a security question, which takes me to a
page that allows me to change my password again. After I 'successfully'
change my password to another 'strong' one I then get a page telling me that
my password has ben changed and I can the click 'done' or sign in. If I click
on sign in at this point I am either directed back to some previous page or I
am told that my password and/or e-mail address in not recognised despite the
fact that I have just changed it and been told that the change was
successful!!

If I click 'done' I only occasionally get to the correct next page - which
should be this one that contains the 'posting' box. If THIS post does not
disappear as well as will be amazed!!!!!!!!!

Sorry I don't have an answer for you. HOWEVER, I have noticed that recently
my first login attempt ALWAYS fails when I use my correct password and always
succeds on the second attempt...very strange.

Perhaps an MS person looks at these posts and can offer a solution... ;)

Hi JCB

Thanx for your reply. If you had not replied I would have still thought that
the posting was not posted as after it 'disappeared' when clicking the post
button it was not displayed on any of the 79 pages in this community. I also
signed out and back in again a couple of times but it still was not there
when I looked for it.

I was sure that I couldn't be the only one it happens to. I have also tried
sending an e-mail with the same problem detailed to microsoft directly via
one of their contact us forms. I have received what may be an automated
response and am awaiting a personal one.

Cheers,

Tufftybob
