There are very few posts on this NG, and very little MS MVP support. Is
there a better NG on the Microsoft news server to post questions about
programming with Managed C++ ? I know I can't be the only C++ programmer
doing .NET development in that language. If I look at the C# NG, it has at
least ten times the traffic and response as this one does. Thta leads me to
believe that there is another NG to handle C++ .NET development questions.

Alot of your questions, like event return values and event method
accessibility could be posed to the general(or even the C#, but prefereably
the general) groups, as they affect all languages. The C# group has alot of
traffic, but ALOT of that is stuff that should be on the general or other
groups.

Unfortunatly, the other vc groups don't appear to cover .NET much.

Maybe there should be a microsoft.public.dotnet.languages.general NG for
general .NET language questions. The microsoft.public.dotnet.general gets a
great deal of irrelevant posts about everything under the sun related to
..NET.

I think this NG could be split into a microsoft.public.dotnet.languages.vc
and microsoft.public.dotnet.languages.mcplusplus NGs. Then all MC++ language
questions could go to the latter NG, and all non-MC++ related language
questions go to the former NG.

Perhaps, perhaps. I think that many questions posted are more appropriate
for the general, as most things aren't language specific. However, I browse
most of the groups(notable ecxeption being the vb ones), and hopefully
others will atleast pay some attention here.

I would say that microsoft.public.vc.language is appropriate for non-MC++(it
has nearly no MC++ posts). the dotnet implies, to me anyway, that this group
should primarily be managed.
