I am trying to set up outlook 2002 from office xp pro and
it asks me for the location of the postoffice and I am
stumped. Where and how do I find the location of my
postoffice? It says for me to ask the adminstrator but it
is a stand alone PC, no adminstrator except me.

Close outlook. Go to control panel, mail applet and check your profile...
what accounts are listed with it? you probably only need internet mail
support.

The Post office is the little brick building down the
street........ sorry couldn't resist.

The Post office is the Exchange mail server that you
would connect to if you were on a network with such a
configuration.

You probably want to setup your email as a POP client in
which case you will sent the incoming mail server as
something.someISP.net (for example, if your ISP was
newisp.net then the server might be mail.newisp.net you
can get the actual setting from their support web page.

your outgoing mail usually will be something like
smtp.newisp.net.

Some times both will be in the form of smtp.newisp.net

Another possibility is http mail.

What ever the case your ISP support page will have the
answers.
