It would be really nice if I could go back to a discussion group and easily
find my posted question. Something similar to Yahoo's questions and answers.
Where I can see all my posted questions without having to search.

I guess the first question is what are you using for a news reader?

In Outlook Express or Windows Mail (much improved OE for Vista), you can put
a watch on all messages you post, causing them to appear in red. When new
massages are posted in your threads, they go to boldface red, alerting you
to unread entries. You can also sort all messages in a given newsgroup by
sender, thus grouping all your messages together.

If you're using a different newsreader, look for similar features.

I have XP, and Outlook Express. I have been using IE 6 to view and post
messages in the discussion forums. I wasn't aware that I could use Outlook
for this purpose. After you mentioned it, I tried setting up a newsgroups
account, but the wizard is requesting the name of the Internet news (NTTP)
server, and I don't really know what that is.

I checked out the link you provided, and quite frankly I am not familiar with
that and not sure how to use that to view this forum.

Your service provider will have that.

Sometimes if your mail server is something like mail.internetcompany.com
your news one will be new.internetcompany.com

Give them a call.

Once u got that set up, browsing newsgroup entries and searching for em is
easy. ( at least i find )

For the Microsoft public groups, you can set up and account at:

msnews.microsoft.com
