I sometimes (ie today) have to send a powerpoint file to a
client that gets too big for email. I'd like to be able
to post it to my website for downloading.
Just tried putting the ppt file in a folder and published
my frontpage site. then I went to the direct link, hoping
it would ask me if I wanted to "save" or "open" the file.
What IE did instead was open the file in IE. I could see
all my slides and hear the sounds, but don't see any way I
could save it to disk.
Is there a way to either allow the client to save it from
IE or, better still, post it to my site such that its a
downloadable file rather than a file to open?
Sorry if this turns out to be an FP2002 question more than
a PPT question; trying what I can for a fast answer for my
client.
