Jorge

I am sending messages from my XP laptop but they don't show up, even a day
later.

Any ideas why this is happening?

thanks

Hi Jorge,

Well, this one did. Some of the others may have been affected by the impact
of the acronym of newS

Please post any further questions or followup to the newsgroups for the
benefit of others who may be interested. Unsolicited questions forwarded
directly to me will only be answered on a paid consulting basis.

Hope this helps

Hello Doug

This message did because I sent it from a different computer running 98SE.

The message was sent using the NewPost button, so I don't understand how it
went directly to you.

Something seems to be very wrong with the MS Newsgroups

Jorge,

[Note: This is both posted *and* emailed]

The operating system you use makes no difference in
the operation of the Internet.

The message didn't go directly to Doug. It came to the
newsgroups, where he, I, and a few million of our pals
can now read it. I saw it at 3:12am US Pacific Time,
just 4 minutes after you apparently posted it. While
the MS newsgroups have been a bit slow lately, it's
more likely something's wrong with your newsreader or
settings.

For the best results when reading the Microsoft public
newsgroups, it helps to connect to MS's own news server
(msnews.microsoft.com) rather than your ISP's. Even
though most newsgroups are carried elsewhere (including
some "orphan" groups), you may experience more delays
seeing posts made here if reading from your ISP's server.
The current virus storm may also be drenching a lot of
news servers.
