Posting Meetings on the Calendar

I was wondering if anyone knew whether, or not, MS has
fixed the problem with the calendar posting the right
times in the 2003 version of Outlook.

My company had no problem posting meetings with Outlook
2000, but we have had major problems with the 2002
version. The meeting times will not post correctly on
everyone's calendar and sometime the days are off as
well. I was told this was a problem with the the 2002
version. Seems like MS would fix that....go figure. :o)

Anyway, I was wondering if any of you have used this
function in Outlook 2003 and if it works for you. This
was a great feature. I really hope they get it worked
out.

Thanks!

Our Admin. Asst. would set up a meeting on the calendar,
then send it by way of email to all the staff. When we
accept the meeting, the time of the meeting is off by
usually an hour and sometimes it will post the meeting a
day later on our calendars. I have gone into the settings
for the clock, that didn't work and was finally told that
the problem is with the version of Outlook we have and it
can not be fixed. I was wondering if MS fixed the problem
in the 2003 version.

I have looked at that....changed all of that....and it
still does not work in the 2002 version. Unless there is
something I'm missing, those settings have been changed
numerous times.

Sounds like there is a mismatch in the time zone and daylight savings time
settings among your machines.

That's almost certainly the cause, though. Nothing else would produce the
same symptoms. Did you check the settings in Outlook in Tools | Options |
Calendar Options | Time Zone? Pay attention to the daylight savings time box
there.

Yes, that's where I made the change. Right now it is set
to Central time zone, but the time is an hour ahead.
Adjust for Daylight Savings Time is checked.
I've played around with all of this and it keeps changing
back to the wrong time.

Did you also check the settings in Control Panel | Date and Time?

Yes, that setting has always been correct.
