Posting for the 3rd time. Would somebody ever reply to it, especially MVP

I have created a rule in rules wizard, however, everytime
a new email that satisfies the rule arrives outlook
freezes and is not responding. I had to end task to
restart it again. Upon restart I see the email that
caused the freeze, however, now the rule wizard does not
run and this email stays in my inbox. I can apply the
rule manually by running it manually inside rules wizard
but that is pain in the #@@ (of course, the rule is
checked in rules wizard). Is there any patch that would
fix this problem. Thanks. Mukhtar Bekkali

A few things missing for people to be able to answer you correctly..

You failed to mention the version of Outlook in question.
Have you applied all patches available?
Is it a certain type of rule that is "freezing" on you? Or a single type?
Are you connecting to an Exchange server and if so, is said rule client side
or server side?
Was the rule created "from scratch" or using some built in "wizard" steps?
Have you tried this rule on another PC?
Have you uninstalled and reinstalled Outlook?
What version of Windows is this all running on?
Is your Windows version up to date with its patches?
Do you have antivirus software running, up to date and is it "integrated"
into Outlook?
Have you checked your computer for spyware/adware lately?

Yes

I have only 1 rule, that (1) checks for specific words in
the title or body, if OK, then (2) forwards to another
email address and then (3) permanently deletes it and
then (4) stops processing more rules. The freeze may
have to do with Outlook tries to delete the message from
the server after downloading it. I had another rule
(deleted junk mail) but it did not create any troubles
for me (I no longer have it).

I am not sure what is the Exchange server, I pop my
messages from a server into my desktop.

Yes, the same problem

Why should I do that? On both computers? My office PC
has Office 2000 while at home I have Office XP.

What version of Windows is this all running on?

WXP pro both PC's

Is your Windows version up to date with its patches?

yes

Do you have antivirus software running, up to date and is
it "integrated"> into Outlook?

yes, McAfee integrated on both computers

Have you checked your computer for spyware/adware lately?

Yes, AdAware.
